Steward Home Center is a Christian Family owned business! “Blessed to Serve You Since 1988!” is Billy Ray and Tamra Steward’s motto. Tamra started in the retail appliance and lawn and garden business in 1979 at Sears Roebuck Catalog Store in Oak Grove. We purchased the Sears Catalog Store under the merchant program in 1988. After Sears closed the Sears Catalog Store business nationwide in 1993, we reopened as Western Auto, which was owned by Sears at the time. In 2000, we changed to our current business name and joined a buying group.
Steward Home Center is a member of NationWide Buying Group. Rather than having the buying power of only ONE store, we have the buying power of over 5,500 members affording our customers with low prices to compete with the box stores.
